Materials
- 1” silver ring
- 18” piece of scrap leather
- 3/8” silver stud
- Silver spike or 3/8” silver shank button
- Box cutter
- Carpenter’s glue
- Ruler
- White pencil crayon
- Hammer
Step 1
Spread glue evenly
on wrong side of leather
Fold leather
wrong sides together approximately 1” wide- use ruler to keep straight
Step 2
Draw
bracelet pattern- a long rectangle 17” x ½”
Cut out with
box cutter and smooth edges with nail file if needed
Step 3
Draw a 1”point
on one and cut with box cutter
Step 4
For other
end fold 1” and insert ring
Punch a
small hole and insert stud (if you don’t have a punch cut a small slit with box
cutter)
Hammer the
stud into place
Step 5
On the pointed end cut a ½” vertical buttonhole
2 3/4”away from
pointed end- sew the silver shank button or if using the spike punch a hole and
insert screw and screw into place
Step 6
Wrap leather
around once then pull through the ring and press the hole over the spike or
button
